Marketing Courses which transform businesses & individuals
Diploma in Practical Marketing
Are you the only person responsible for marketing in your organisation?
Being the only marketer in an organisation can be lonely.
If your management team don’t have the training or experience in marketing to support you, who do you turn to?
The Marketing School provides
- practical training which can be implemented immediately
- peer to peer support groups
- strategic planning advice and supervision as required
Our Vision
To transform businesses through effective marketing training and support.
Our Mission
To empower solo marketers to become experts in their field.
Our Process
To provide interactive, practical training courses, peer to peer support groups, strategic planning advice and supervision.
The problem
Having one person in an organisation responsible for marketing can cause problems for both the individual and their management team.
Time to Supervise
Lack of Knowledge
Retention
Cost
What's in it for the company?
Good training isn’t cheap.
You need to know what the value to your company is, in return for the investment in terms of money, time, and development for the individual.
You will have to be willing to give your marketer some information along the way though, so you get the most from their training.
Improved marketing strategy
Is your current marketing strategy mapped to your business plan and customer journey?
It will be through this course!
Real improvements month on Month
Each month will provide information to be implemented before the next module. Progress will also be reviewed each month.
Tailored Training
Cohorts are kept small so that the training can be applied for your organisation. No generalised theory here!
Up-to-date Practice
The course content is updated before every module is taught... nothing stands still in marketing and so a course written six months ago is probably out of date.
The Marketing School
The Marketing School was founded by Claire and Jane to fulfil a need for practical marketing skills training.
Both are experienced and successful Marketing Consultants and both have their own Marketing Agencies.
Claire has over two decades experience in training, having worked at The University of Sheffield for many years, and has since developed and delivered accredited and non-accredited training/apprenticeships for organisations, as well as running her own courses.
The Marketing School deliver non-accredited training by choice. The field of marketing moves so quickly, accredited courses can be out of date before the whole course has been delivered.
Marketing training content must, therefore, be constantly updated as, for example, algorithms change, AI develops, Search Engines change their parameters … Nothing stands still and so neither must the training !
How The Course Works
All modules are delivered over half a day and are taught in person, in Sheffield (easy access and parking).
Refreshments will be available during the sessions.
The next cohort: will begin on 14th May 2026 – 9.30am.
